OneNote
Many of us
carry a notebook or notepad around to take notes for business,
school, or personal projects. But can you easily find — and decipher
— the info you need? Is it convenient to share your notes with
others? Take control with Microsoft Office OneNote 2007, the
easy-to-use note-taking and information-management program where you
can capture ideas and information in electronic form. Insert files
or Web content in full-color, searchable format or as icons that you
can click to access. Watch this demo to see how simple it is to
gather, format, organize, and share information. And then say
goodbye to your notepad! How to do it (text version):

ITS Move a
Smooth Transition by Ted Swanson,
President
As many of you
know, we recently moved into our new offices in Fort
Washington. After almost 8 years in Jenkintown, we had
outgrown our space and needed a more modern home for our
network operations center and our development team. Thanks to
the hard work of our staff and our partners, we moved on
August 17th and we didn't miss a beat.
 |
I'd like to
take this opportunity to point out some of the people
who made our move as smooth and stress-free as moving 40
people and about 75 computers and servers can be. Since
most of you will have to move your offices at some
point, I am recommending the following companies due to
the excellent job they did for us.
|
Please contact them
directly the next time you have a need:
Facilities
Relocation Consultants (FRC) - Relocation planning http://www.frcmove.com/,
Judy Kellem, 215-923-6604, jkellem@frcmove.com.
FRC coordinated our entire move. They found the movers,
the furniture dealer, the security company, even the water
cooler distributor. They were worth every penny - I can't
recommend them enough.
Lyrio - VOIP
phone system, http://www.lyrio.com/, Howard
Hoffman, 888-LYRIOIP, howardh@lyrio.com. Our
newly upgraded voice over IP phone system is already making an
impact here at ITS. Lyrio designed, installed, and supports
our system. They cut over our phone lines without even one
minute of downtime.
Situs Properties
- Commercial real estate, http://www.situsproperties.com/,
Mike Cohen, 215-886-9400, mgcohen@situsproperties.com.
It took 2 years, but Situs found us the perfect space in the
perfect location. Mike is the most patient and connected
realtor I've met.
Workspace
- Office
furniture, http://www.workspacellc.com/,
Jim Blessing, 215-773-9773, jimb@workspacellc.com.
Workspace provided all of the new furniture for our office and
creatively reused our existing furniture so there was no
waste. They sell both new and used office
furniture.
Reads Moving and Storage -
Moving company, http://www.reads-atlas.com/,
Mike Mulligan, 800-523-6638, mmulligan@reads-atlas.com.
I've only moved ITS once, but I can't imagine it could have
gone any easier with another moving company. They did
everything we asked and didn't break a thing.
Thank you to
everyone who helped in this process. I invite everyone to
visit us in our new space at 414 Commerce Dr., Suite 150, Fort
Washington, PA, 19034. Click here for directions.

National Conference is Site for Unveiling of New
Training Offering
| Over 400
people were on-hand at this month’s FileMaker Developer
Conference to learn about FMAgile, IT Solutions’
latest training offering. FMAgile,
our unique FileMaker project management
approach, was the topic of the presentation, given by
our Manager of Training Services Jason Mundok.
Individuals from consulting companies like ITS, as
well as in-house developers, were in attendance to learn
about the specifics of the methodology and how they can
be applied to their own project management efforts.
|

Speaker Jason Mundok relaxes at the
booth following his
presentation. |
FMAgile has been in use at IT Solutions for
about 14 months with significant success. The
methodology emphasizes building strong client relationships
with honest, open communication, and delivering tested,
working software in short iterative cycles that allow for
change throughout development. Because of the internal
success and positive reception by the FileMaker community, ITS
will now be offering a specially designed FMAgile
training curriculum on a regular basis. Trainees have
the option of on-site sessions at their offices, or attending
classes at IT Solutions’ new headquarters in Fort Washington,
PA. For the latest information on upcoming classes or to
register online, please visit our training
web pages. For more information about
FMAgile, including a downloadable white paper and
brand-new blog, visit http://www.fmagile.com/. |
