Don'ts of Network Gatekeeping

There's little doubt
that the Internet has been a real benefit to organizations -
providing instant communication capabilities and an almost
bottomless source of valuable, up-to-date information on just
about any topic.
However, many
employees won't think twice about accessing the network for
personal use, perhaps to download music or to shop online.

IT Solutions
Introduces Employee Stock Ownership Plan for Long-Term Success

"Owning" a task or a project took on new meaning for the staff
of IT Solutions on January 1st when they became enrolled in the
company’s new Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
While personal accountability and attention to detail have
always been important at ITS, the ESOP provides a vehicle for
long-term rewards through real stock ownership in the business.
Now every time ITS succeeds, the staff succeeds. And they know
that ITS succeeds only when our clients succeed.
"We’ve
always taken great pride in our efforts to work as a unified
team on behalf of our clients," IT Solutions Founder and CEO Ted
Swanson said. "With an ESOP in place, our employees are even
more motivated to deliver the best service every day because
they know it directly contributes to achieving company goals
and profitability. And the more we can do to improve ITS, "he
emphasized, "the more we can improve our clients’ businesses as
well."
ITS
has had a long track record of keeping employees informed about
the overall health and stability of the company through the
transparent business management technique known as
open-book
management. Because of this, our employee-owners have always
had a pretty solid handle on how a business operates, what’s
important to an organization’s success, and how to control
costs. But there’s a distinct difference between knowing about
these things and having a real stake in the outcome. The ESOP is
a catalyst for enhancing employee productivity, reinforcing
staff retention, and increasing morale because everyone benefits
from adding a new client, keeping an existing client satisfied,
or improving a process.
Since
1974, when ESOPs first became available, over 20,000 U.S.
corporations have adopted them. Today, there are over 10 million
participants with over $650 billion in assts. Well-known ESOP
companies include Procter & Gamble, Gore-Tex, and
Anheuser-Busch.
For
you, our clients, you should continue to see the same dedication
and commitment from our staff that you’ve come to expect over
the years. Give us a problem, and we'll look at it from every
angle - technical, economic, strategic - before presenting you
with a solid, cost-effective solution. Now, more than ever,
we’re motivated to do this by making sure we're in tune with
your business goals. By hiring only the best certified
consultants, by refining our systems and procedures every day,
by developing better ways to serve you, by constantly
innovating, we strengthen our business and yours.
At IT Solutions we believe that we all succeed together, our
company, our employees, and you. |

in Tough Times
Reprinted with

Today's economic climate of rising energy costs, uncertainty in
global financial markets and relentless pressure to drive down
business costs poses multiple challenges for most companies.
With the economy sluggish and financial "fuel" scarce, making
the financial commitments needed to enhance or even maintain an
IT infrastructure can be difficult. Yet those firms that make
sound decisions in tough times by strengthening their
infrastructure will be best positioned when the economy recovers
and demand picks up.
