The Solution
Nexus evaluated three website development firms to take on the project of developing websites for both its business and its wholly owned subsidiary, Indicia Medical Education, LLC, a provider of continuing medical education founded in 2006.
"We had an existing relationship with IT Solutions," explained Silipigni. "They have provided all of our IT maintenance and support since 2004. IT Solutions' proposal was the most in-depth and professional."
IT Solutions designed the websites for Nexus and Indicia to address both their marketing and technical needs. Both websites serve as electronic brochures for potential clients and job candidates, improving the companies' marketing potential.
To address the file transfer challenge, IT Solutions created a secure portal to enable Nexus to easily exchange large files with its clients. IT Solutions used Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services to provide a clean, easy and secure way to transfer files. WSS, a free component of Windows Server 2003 and Small Business Server 2003, is a collection of management tools specifically designed to help personalize the work environment, improve integration and increase collaboration. It securely integrates data from multiple systems across an enterprise under one single login, enabling users to better work together on documents, tasks and projects.
Since clients need to visit the company to use the portal, the website also serves as a marketing channel for cross-selling and up-selling to existing clients.
